I’m Abi. Hi!
Shortly after university, I did my teacher training. I was totally fascinated with how children learn and develop. I loved it, loved teaching. But, when I became a mum, everything changed.
I had found gentle parenting, and quickly realised that so much of what I was doing in the classroom was not helping the childrens’ self esteem. And without that, there is no real, deep learning. Seeing my old class, some years later broke my heart. How was it ok that these lovely 8 and 9 year olds were so disconnected from their learning? I left teaching with no plan, just desperate for something with meaning.
That’s when I found a Montessori nursery. The values there aligned with everything I believed in as a parent. I saw those children thriving on being able to choose what they wanted to learn and when. They loved it because it was their path they were following!
Today, I work with busy parents like you to do this for yourselves at homel! Because you have that power within you. I know you do!

This is about following your child and personalising learning to suit them.
There is no need to push them to learn something they aren’t ready for, or that they aren’t interested in.
Childhood isn’t a race. Childhood should be joyful, and learning should be a part of that!
I follow gentle, conscious, repsectful parenting with a sprinkling of Montessori principles to help you give back trust to your child. This way, they can direct their learning, whilst you’re on hand to support them wherever they need it.
I want to empower you to be able to work with your child in an effective way that gets you both enjoying their Spark.
You don’t need to know it all. The best learning happens when you do it together.
Whether they attend school, or are home educated, I can support you to get them loving learning with their Spark Space even after doing aaaaalll the things you need to do as a busy mum.
